Terms and Conditions for Birthday Club

Birthday club members receive: 

🎂 a birthday card in the mail 

🎂 complimentary portrait session fee the month of their birthday

🎂 discounts on milestone portraits

You can add-on the following options if desired:

  • Location Upgrade: Move your shoot to our outdoor garden - $200

  • Location Upgrade: Move your shoot to another location in Houston - $200 + $500 Min Purchase Required (due the day of your shoot)

  • Extra People or a Pet Upgrade: Include your immediate family OR a pet - $200*

*Extra people or pets are automatically included with any location upgrade.

How it works:

  1. You will receive an email with a booking link 2 months prior to your birthday month. Book early! You never know if we will run out of spots! Limited sessions available each month without an upgrade. A $50 nonrefundable deposit is due to secure your time on our calendar. This deposit is then used as a store credit toward any future purchase.

  2. You will be asked to book a 30-Minute in-person consultation prior to your session, especially if you are new to our studio or if you haven’t been a client in the past year. Please feel free to book it yourself (the link will be provided, or you can call our office and we can help). 

  3. Come to the consultation to plan your session. We will give you tips on wardrobe ideas and colors that look best. We will brainstorm with you about how you can optimize your session based on yourself or your child’s age and interests. You will also learn about our products, exclusive offers, and milestone product suggestions so that you can create your own custom wish list!

  4. Show up for your session! Bring clothes on a hanger to change at the studio to keep clothes looking fresh and wrinkle free.

  5. Following your session, we will schedule an ordering appointment where you will come back and view your images and make your purchase. 

  6. Enjoy the journey to fantastic milestone portraits every year!

FAQs:

Q: Does the birthday session have to happen the month of the birthday?

A: Yes, if you want a complimentary session, it must be scheduled the month of the birthday. If you choose to upgrade, we can schedule your session up to one month following your birthday.

Q: What if you run out of spots during my birthday month? Can I still get a complimentary session?

A: Complimentary sessions are first come, first serve. We have allotted as much space as possible in our calendar. If you can’t find an open time slot, you can try a couple things: try booking at the other location or call us to see if there are any cancellations. If you purchase an upgrade, you are guaranteed a session as long as you book it within 30 days of your birthday. 

Q: Can I use my birthday session for my family?

A: YES, absolutely! Simply choose the add-on called “Extra People or Pets” during “checkout”. This add-on adds your family to your session in our indoor studio. Alternatively, you can choose a location upgrade and your immediate family will be added on automatically.

Q: Can I make my birthday session into an extended family shoot?

A: YES, you can! Please contact us for arrangements.

Q: Does my complimentary birthday session have to be indoors?

A: Yes, complimentary sessions are all indoors. If you want to go outdoors, you would choose a location upgrade add-on during checkout

Q: Do I have to do a consultation? I have been there before.

A: If you have been in our studio in the last year, you will not need to come to a consultation, but be aware you may not know about our recommended products until the ordering session. If you are new to our studio or haven’t been in over a year, a consultation is required to book.

Q: What if I can’t make the consultation? Can I still come to my shoot?

A: If you’re not able to make the consultation, your shoot will be canceled. We do consultations to help you, not hurt you! We promise it will be worth it!


Q: What if I can’t make my appointment? Can I reschedule?

A: If you have to cancel your complimentary session, there will not be an opportunity for you to reschedule without an upgrade. You can change your session time up to 72 hours ahead of your shoot, provided we still have openings.

Q: What is your refund policy on upgrades?

A: If you decide you don’t want to shoot, we require a 72 hour notice for a full refund of an upgrade. Otherwise, you can use your upgrade as a credit toward another shoot within the same calendar year. If you delay more than 30 days past your birthday and fail to schedule your shoot, you will have a credit toward a different shoot within the same calendar year.

Q: What is your refund policy on products?

A: All sales are final. Don’t worry, we make sure you are happy before you check out!

A $50 nonrefundable deposit is due to secure your time on our calendar. expire 30 days from initial entry. Winners will be notified by phone call and follow up email.

The Portrait Experience and any included products are not redeemable for cash or credit. Images (digital or print) are not included, but will be available to purchase. Hair and makeup are not included, but can be added to your experience (contact us for pricing). Winnings are non-transferable to other parties; shoot must be used by the client who filled out the online form.

For Senior Sessions, senior must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all meetings, and must not be fully responsible for planning and purchases.

Canceled sessions less than 5 days in advance and missed sessions will result in forfeiture in winnings.

Ordering of your images will take place at our studio 2-7 days after your shoot. Responsible party for purchases must be an adult 21 years or older (senior cannot be made responsible for more than 25% of print purchase). It is highly recommended that all financially invested members of the family be present at the order session. We take significant time helping you pick out your favorite images and develop a plan for how you want them displayed in your home. Therefore, ordering sessions are "Final Sale" meetings, i.e., there are no refunds on purchases, and all sales are final.
