Monochrome Moments

an artist project

MY MISSION:

To help Houston’s hungry children, one Monochrome Moment at a time!

As summer begins, many children in Houston lose access to school-provided meals, worsening food insecurity. One in five children in Houston faces uncertainty about their next meal. Recent news about economic challenges like job loss and budget cuts are only expected to increase the number of food-insecure children.

As a father, it pains my heart to think about the physical and psychological toll that hunger can take on families. I decided that I wanted to somehow use my talents to help give back to those in need. Why not use portraits of children, as a way to give back to other children?

MY PROJECT:

My Monochrome Moments project focuses on creating simple, classic in-studio portraits of individual children. But they are far from ordinary!

These black and white portraits are created in square format with an artistic border. I'm printing them on a luxurious fine art paper and each one is hand-signed and embossed with the Monochrome Moments logo. Add one of our unique framing options, and this work of art will be sure to be a stand-out art piece in your home!

THE BENEFICIARIES:

All session donations go to local charities providing meals and support for children during the summer. I urge you to make a donation and help fight hunger in our community! As a reward, I’ll create a stunning portrait of your child that will melt your heart every time you look at it.

As I get the first leg of this idea up and running, I can see how many different schools and organizations could truly benefit from this project. If you are interested in partnering to raise money for your organization, please contact us to see how this project could benefit your cause.

For now, my mission begins to help Houston’s hungry children, one Monochrome Moment at a time!
